HOMEdigz.com LLC is made available as a free resource for home improvement and decorating enthusiasts at any level of experience, as well as any business who provides services in the home improvement and decorating fields. This community is provided as a courtesy. Participation is a privilege and you are a welcomed guest of the forum. We hope you enjoy being part of this growing community.

To assure that everyone has a pleasant experience, we need to make sure everyone understands the “House Rules” of the community and how we will deal with problems. It is our sincere hope that you join our community and make lots of new friends, learn, and participate in engaging discussions. However, we should spell a few things out first.

By registering you acknowledge that you have read and will abide by the guidelines outlined below. You understand that we may at our discretion edit or remove any post we believe does not represent the best interest of the community, and may remove any member at any time without warning or explanation. It is our hope that we will not have to invoke this or the following rules, but we wish to make it clear that we reserve this right.

These guidelines apply to posts, profiles and private messages. There are separate guidelines for experts who wish to contribute articles, available in the HOMEdigz Business Forum.

While anyone can read the forum posts, you must be a registered subscriber in order to post. By registering, you agree to the following guidelines:

Play Nice

•Show mutual respect for each other and HOMEdigz staff at all times.
•Do not obstruct the flow of discussion by sticking to the subject of each post.
•Please help other members feel welcome.
•Please avoid religious or political topics. There is enough division in our lives over of cultures, religions, politics, etc. Please remember that we’re here to share our passion for home improvement. Posts that violate this rule are subject for deletion.

Posting Rules

•One account per member please.
•English only – we do not have bilingual moderators at this time.
•When posting and linking to images, please refrain from hot-linking – use the attachment option provided.
•Do not post the same discussion in more than one forum topic as it can be frustrating for other members. Post in the most appropriate forum.
•Please refrain from using all Caps in your posts – it’s interpreted as SHOUTING.
•Offering legal or medical advice is not allowed.

Keep it Clean

•No illegal activities.
•No profanity or offensive material. We prefer to keep this board in a “public voice”, meaning that extensive use of profanity or phrasing of an offensive nature is discouraged. We may elect to take action if we think things are getting out of hand, but by and large we ask that you use discretion.
•No defamation – this is not a platform for personal attacks!

About You

•Protect personal information – use Personal Message feature to contact each other directly rather than list your home contact information in your profile.
•Before you post, consider that what you post will not only appear on our forum, but may also come up in searches and external search engines. If you do not wish to make a piece of information public knowledge, please don’t post it.
•While we encourage you to express yourself using your own signature on your posts, please note that signatures can be up to 4 lines and 65 characters, and can include an image (150 px max). Large signature files may slow page loading time, so please be concise.
•You can create an avatar in your profile if you wish after you have made 25 posts.

No Unauthorized Advertising

•Posts must be free of advertising and focus on the topic at hand. Forum discussions are not the place for self-promotion. Business members can highlight their businesses in their profile and in the business directory. Note: Expert articles can link to a profile page. Businesses who wish to contribute articles should refer to the Articles Guidelines.
•No linking to affiliate sales sites that benefits you financially.
•Sponsors of this site contribute to the financial health of the forum, and without their participation we would not exist. HOMEdigz is a business-friendly forum and advertising opportunities are available upon request.

Be Honest and Truthful

•Please be respectful of copyright laws, and stand by your own words.
•The Forum owner, Moderators and other HOMEdigz colleagues are not responsible for anything said on this forum other than comments we make in a personal or professional capacity. Acknowledgement of this is conditional to reading or participating on the forum. We make this service available for free and we do not monitor the accuracy of any post, nor do we screen or censor content in any way as a matter of policy. We occasionally intervene when we see something that is a clear violation of our rules, or to promote harmony, but there simply isn’t time for us to moderate the entire board. We take no responsibility for what you write. You must exhibit care and understand that there may be consequences for trying to damage the reputation of another regardless of the circumstances. You have been warned!
•Accuracy of Information. The information you get from HOMEdigz has not been checked for accuracy or with respect for safety. Again, we make this board available for free for members to share ideas and experiences. We make no claim as to the accuracy or safety of any suggested idea. So proceed at your own risk, we take no responsibility for anything you do with this information.
•No scraping of content for other sites is allowed.
•We may, at times, share posts with a larger audience to help encourage the growth of the forum. We do this by including links to your posts throughout third-party sites and using discussion topics for the basis of new articles and features. We reserve the right to quote your discussion forum posts in newsletters throughout the HOMEdigz network, and in HOMEdigz promotions. When republishing your quotes for wide distribution, we will identify you only by your HOMEdigz member name.

While we try very hard to operate the community with the idea of free exchange of ideas, and free speech we reserve the right to edit, archive, or delete any post or ask any member of the forum to leave for any reason we choose. The above rules are not meant to be an all-inclusive list, and reserving this right allows us to be flexible to deal with unforeseen situations. We will do our best to continue to operate the forum as we always have, but as we grow this may occasionally be necessary.

Every member participates in the forum as a guest and we will do what is necessary to preserve our vision of the community.
